“Volksgarten” is one of the most beautiful parks in downtown Vienna. Famous for its roses which are all blooming now, it is not only a tourist attraction but also a place which the Viennese enjoy as well.
By the way, roses can be dedicated to a loved one by paying a certain amount of money. A placard with a personal message will then be attached to the trunk of the rose.
A woman showed me her and her boyfriend’s rose. She said that each year they come here on their special day with a glass of champaign to celebrate.
